Old Friend is a virtual reality experience set to the song Old Friend by Future Islands. This animated, psychedelic dance party creates joyfulness from the viewer with a barrage of bright colors, fun interactions, and happy bouncy characters having the best time; the joy is contagious. The film is presented in a room-scale installation.

With a career in interactive 3D animation, Tyler Hurd is a technical animator creating joyful experiences in Virtual Reality. His work explores the powerful emotional response of Virtual Reality, experimenting with new ways to make people feel things, like unabashed joy.
